- Sheep and camel wool rugs aren't wet-cleaned; we'll say so rather than risk the pile
- Bleach marks, sun fading and dye damage are permanent, whatever anyone promises
About pet odour. If urine has gone through to the underlay, cleaning the pile alone will not fix the smell — the source is underneath. We'll tell you honestly when that's the case instead of taking the booking and hoping.

Every job runs the same seven steps, from inspection to fabric protection. That's what separates looking clean from being clean.

Inspection
We check the fabric and how each mark got there — a fresh spill isn't treated like ground-in dirt — and flag anything that might be permanent before we start, not after you've paid.

Pre-vacuum
Dry soil comes out first with a thorough vacuum pass. Skip this and it just turns to mud the moment water goes on.
03
Pre-spray
A pre-spray matched to the fabric breaks down embedded dirt and oils before any water touches it — wool gets a different mix to synthetic, not the same bottle for everything.
04
Hand cleaning
The worst of it gets worked by hand, with a brush suited to the fabric, before the machine ever touches it.

Extraction wash
Hot water and cleaning solution go in under pressure, deep enough to reach the padding, and come straight back out through the same machine in the same pass — Kärcher and Chemspec.

Rinse
A final rinse with clean water only, until every trace of the cleaning solution is gone. Skip this and residue attracts new dirt within weeks.

Fabric protection
Optional. A protective layer that buys you time on the next spill and keeps the result lasting longer.

Look at the room, not a tape measure. A small bedroom is usually the small size, a standard bedroom the medium, a big living room the large. If you pick the wrong one, the technician says so on arrival and you decide then — there is never a surprise on the invoice.
Not any more. We used to, and it meant everyone had to measure their own floor before they could get a price. Now it's a flat price per room.
Usually 4 to 6 hours, and up to 12 if the day is humid or the room doesn't breathe well. You can walk on it sooner in clean socks; just keep shoes and pets off until it's dry.
Usually yes, when the mess is in the pile. If it has soaked through to the underlay, the smell lives underneath and cleaning the surface won't solve it — we'll tell you that before you book rather than after.
We clean around what's there. Move what you can beforehand — chairs, baskets, toys — and leave the heavy pieces to us to work around.
